About You

You’re an experienced LiveOps leader who, working with our Chief Engagement Officer, is comfortable taking programs from ideation to execution. You’re a chess player (no matter the rating!) and understand what drives players’ passion for the game. You’re a strong communicator and are comfortable working both async and remotely. You have proven success in your field and would love to build the same for the game of chess.

What You’ll Do

  • Define strategy and create an execution plan for’s LiveOps program.
  • Manage and design a calendar of events, challenges, objectives and content to keep the experience fresh and motivating for chess players throughout their lifecycle. Note that tournaments, streaming, and off-platform events are not in scope for this role.
  • Seek in-depth player insights and develop new strategies through data-informed analysis
  • Drive and track relevant KPI’s to evaluate and guide a path to program success, with a particular focus on long-term retention.

Preferred Skills

  • Have experience designing and managing live content, events, and challenges that maximize player engagement.
  • Strong familiarity with the platform and community
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team
  • Sense of ownership and responsibility

About the Opportunity

  • This is a full-time position
